Malaysia - CELEBRATE at Sunway Lagoon with a plethora of exciting activities, performances, and more this PAWsperous New Year!

From Friday 16th to Monday 19th February 2018, Malaysia’s premier multi-park destination promises a memorable Chinese New Year for all its visitors.

Behold lion and dragon dances accompanied by Chinese drums at the Chinese New Year Parade at Zulu Walk, and marvel at the Chinese New Year Shows at the Mali Cove Stage with performances ranging from martial arts performances to fan dance.

Visitors can also make a wish at the Prosperity Tree at Carousel Stage where guests will be given ‘lucky coins’ to toss for good luck, good health, and lasting prosperity.

Additionally, 1,000 pieces of angpaw packets and oranges will be given away to guests as they meet and greet with the God of Prosperity.

Especially for the kids, the Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon will hold a special meet and greet events with Chase and Marshall from Nickelodeon's hit preschool series PAW Patrol. Each kid at the event will also receive PAW Patrol temporary tattoos, fortune cookies, and activity cards. Kids will also have the chances to meet and greet SpongeBob SquarePants & Patrick Star, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

Using the activity card, kids can take part in the Pup Tag Hunt challenge at the Explorer’s Campsite and complete their card.

For those who are looking for a more exciting experience, look out for the Swashbuckling Pirates Show, as well as the Sunway Lagoon Original production, The Tale of Mount Berapi.

You won't want to miss the Thumbuakar Fire Performance, a thrilling fire performance like you have never seen before!

To commemorate the launch of the PAWsperous New Year event, Sunway Lagoon invited 14 underprivileged children, and their respective guardian, from the Love Eternal Charity Association for a day of fun under the sun at the theme park. Photos and video from the event can be found below!

“It is truly an honour for us to have our friends from Love Eternal Charity Association to celebrate with us today,” said Sean Choo, General Manager of Sunway Lagoon.

“Celebrating the underprivileged is something we at Sunway Lagoon do every year during each festive season. We try and share the love and joy, to all especially to those who may never have experienced it for themselves.”

As a surprise, each child was also given RM300 to spend at the Nickelodeon store.

For 15 year old, Chur Yi Lin, it was an opportunity to get new clothes for the upcoming festive season.

“This is my first time in a theme park. I am looking forward to diving into the water park at Sunway Lagoon,” added Yi Lin.

In addition to all the activities, Sunway Lagoon will host the Gifts of Prosperity ‘Huat! Huat! Huat!’ contest where guests can stand a chance to win Poh Kong Gold Pendant and Poh Kong cash vouchers.

To enter, guests will have to submit receipts of RM150 worth of spending in a single day and an entry form at the Nickelodeon Store, Sahara, or Surf Haven.

There will also be 21,000 prizes up for grabs with the “PAW”sperous Sure Win Lucky Dip contest. Guests can participate in this contest by spending RM50 and above on PAW Patrol merchandise.
