Melissa Joan Hart In Talks To Reboot "Clarissa Explains It All" And/Or "Sabrina the Teenage Witch"

'90s lovers have had a lot to celebrate in recent years. The (best ever) era's resurgence includes shows such as Nickelodeon's Legends of the Hidden Temple and Hey Arnold!, giving new life to iconic shows.

Now, two more '90s shows are being considered for a reboot: Clarissa Explains It All and/or Sabrina the Teenage Witch might be returning to the small screen.

During an appearance on FABLife on Tuesday 29th March 2016, quintessential '90s girl Melissa Joan Hart (former star of both of the shows, now 39) broke the news that she was on her way to a meeting that very day to discuss the future of both Clarissa and Sabrina, their rights, and reboot potential!:

"Umm, I am going to a meeting after this," she bashfully spilled, "They're throwing around Clarissa and Sabrina ideas, but it depends on who's gonna give up rights, who's gonna do it, how is it gonna be done, it's a lot of politics."

Hart was sure to include that the shows were nowhere near solidified, so fans can't be 100 percent sure that either of them will be making a comeback. On the bright side, a meeting is a meeting - if there were no interest, there probably wouldn't be a meeting at all.

Melissa also posted an Instagram response:

Vague is good. Vague is (hopefully) not a no.

But now comes the difficult part: it's unlikely Hart will be able to pull off both shows, so it's safe to assume that only one will have a full-fledged return.

Clarissa Explains It All premiered March 3, 1991 on Nickelodeon USA and ran for five seasons, following Clarissa Darling as she navigated the various aspects of teenage life: school, boys, her family (including obnoxious younger brother Ferguson and all her nicknames for him included), and more.

"Things I Can't Explain: A Clarissa Novel", a sequel to Nickelodeon's classic hit "Clarissa Explains It All" written by show creator Mitchel Kriegman, is available to purchase now on Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk! Emily Hart, Melissa Joan Hart's sister, narrates the audiobook as adult Clarissa.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch followed Sabrina Spellman, an American teenage half-witch who, on her sixteenth birthday, discovered that she has magical powers. She lived with her 600-year-old aunts, European witches Hilda (played by Caroline Rhea) and Zelda (played by Beth Broderick), and their magical talking cat Salem Saberhagen (voiced by Nick Bakay, The Angry Beavers) in the fictional town of Westbridge, Massachusetts. The show aired on ABC and The WB in the USA.

Both shows were firm fan favourites on Nickelodeon UK in the 1990's.
